Blowout Preventers (BOPs) – API Certified Well Control
Blue Horizon Drilling supplies a full range of API-certified blowout preventers designed for high-pressure well control during drilling operations. BOPs are essential for sealing, controlling, and monitoring oil and gas wells to prevent uncontrolled releases of formation fluids.
Available Types
Annular BOPs – Seal around drill pipe, casing, or tools of varying sizes using a flexible packing element.
RAM BOPs – Offer mechanical sealing or cutting with specialized inserts:
Pipe RAMs – Seal around specific pipe sizes.
Blind RAMs – Close the well when no pipe is present.
Shear RAMs – Shear through pipe and seal the well in emergency shut-ins.
All units are available in standard bore sizes, and pressure ratings up to 15,000 PSI, with configurations in accordance with API 16A and API Q1 standards.
